Remote 1:1 tutoring
Our remote tutoring program, designed around your needs, allows you to provide targeted 1:1 tutoring to students in need of additional literacy support. All tutors are certified or retired teachers with K-6 classroom teaching experience.
Ready-to-use curriculum
Our turnkey literacy curriculum materials have been designed and piloted for use in 1:1 tutoring. Our Foundations & Bridges lesson sequence is aligned with the University of Florida Literacy Institute’s (UFLI) scope and sequence*, allowing for coherence between classroom instruction and small group instruction and tutoring. (*no affiliation or endorsement) Non-fiction Navigators and Literature study lessons are aligned with Common Core Standards and support comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary development.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring
We utilize an initial placement assessment to understand each child’s literacy needs and we monitor learning with ongoing progress monitoring informally at the end of each lesson and more formally after every ten tutoring sessions.
