With OpenLiteracy, students work one-on-one with a dedicated, certified teacher three to four times per week - before, during, or after the school day. Each 30-minute tutoring session is highly focused and individualized, grounded in a student’s unique literacy profile.
Lessons are informed by multiple data sources, including CORE Phonics, DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency (ORF), and daily exit tickets. This real-time data allows tutors to pinpoint exactly where each student needs support and adjust instruction immediately.
Through structured, research-based routines, students build foundational decoding skills, increase word-reading accuracy and fluency, and strengthen comprehension. Schools and families often see rapid progress—students confidently reading texts that once felt out of reach—because every lesson targets the skills that matter most, at the moment they are needed.
